Lewis County Concerts
Moves to Insure Longevity
A group of leading Lewis County citizens has made a unique philanthropic move to enhance the long-range financial viability of the Lewis County Concerts by forming the "Founders Circle". These individuals have agreed to make an initial donation for the season of $2000 and follow-up with a $1000 annual commitment. This most generous act again shows the strong community support for cultural enhancement within our community. Wow, what great people!
The Founders Circle will be an ongoing organization and additional community leaders will be invited to participate. The leadership and commitment of these individuals will serve as an example and encouragement for additional community leaders to jump in.
The Board of Directors and all Lewis County Concerts workers wish to extend a resounding THANK YOU to these Founders Circle members for their strong commitment and thank them by providing them with two season tickets. The Lewis County Concerts will also host an annual banquet to thank these individuals.

Talent Search...Do you have a line on new talent?
We are constantly searching for new talent. Lewis County Concerts has been operating for 68 years and is highly respected in our community. Our entire format has recently been re-worked and many new features added. Specifically, a strong Youth Program, including free seating as school incentives, numerous scholarships and interactive programs at the schools with some of our artists. We have added a pre-event (more later), dinners and/or receptions with the artists, an advisory board, and are funding an endowment program, to name just a few of our new additions.
We are booking five concerts per year, plus special events. Each concert features a warm-up artist, preferably from this community and including young performers.
All of our concerts are held in the new Corbet Theater, located on the Centralia Community College campus. Corbet Theater seats 506 and is a state of the art theater.
Our audience is very diverse and our programs need to also be diverse. We include vocalists, orchestral, brass, blues/jazz, choir, pianists, violinists or other specific presentations.
Our audience is not satisfied with merely top-level technical ability; they also want entertainment. Therefore, an artist, particularly a solo artist, will be far better received if they have great stage presence, i.e. the ability to engage and communicate with the audience. Some inclusion of the "familiar" is also highly desirable.
All of our concerts include a pre-event or warm-up feature. Our criteria for this segment is much the same as for our headline artists, except that we attempt to feature local talent, and young performers when possible. Our ongoing talent search therefore also addresses this feature.
Our season runs from approximately September to April. We naturally want to avoid conflict with the holidays and maintain an approximately 30 to 45 day spread between concerts. Other than that, we can be pretty flexible. Friday or Saturday nights seem to be preferred, although we will occasionally book weeknights or Sunday afternoon matinees.
Naturally, we are cost conscious, but we place the quality of our concerts as our highest priority. We want every concert to be a "knock their socks off" event. As to fees, we are booking artists at a range from virtually nothing to well over $10,000 per event.
We would welcome the opportunity to review the qualifications of any artist that you represent. Please send CDs, DVDs VHS tapes as well as a complete promotional package and fee information.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU!
SEE YOU AT THE CONCERTS!
